Déjame llevarte en un pequeño viaje—desde las ciudades, barrios y campos de los Estados Unidos, pasando por los Andes de Chile, hasta la vibrante energía de la República Dominicana. En ese recorrido, descubrí algo que se siente tan personal como universal: la sabiduría del Águila, el Quetzal y el Cóndor.  Esto no es solo un cuento bonito; es una forma de entender el mundo. Me recuerda la importancia de encontrar balance, honrar la conexión y liderar con visión y con corazón.

Te cuento algo: me di cuenta de que soy un Cóndor criado como un Águila. Imagínate eso. Me enseñaron a volar alto, a soñar en grande, a trazar estrategias, pero en lo más profundo, mi esencia siempre estuvo conectada a la tierra, a la comunidad y a la sabiduría que viene al caminar despacio y con propósito. No siempre fue fácil. A veces, me sentí fuera de lugar. A veces, en resistencia.

El Águila me enseñó a soñar en grande. Me dio la capacidad de mirar lejos, de planificar, de innovar. Esa parte de mí siempre está buscando el próximo paso, buscando lo alto, avanzando con audacia.

Pero el Cóndor… El Cóndor me enseñó a aterrizar. Me susurró: “Tranquilo. Mira a tu alrededor. Siente la tierra bajo tus pies.” Ahí es donde aprendí el valor de la comunidad, de caminar con cuidado y de honrar lo sagrado en lo simple.

Y luego llegó el Quetzal. ¡Ay, mi Quetzal! Este pájaro no solo vuela; canta. El Quetzal conecta al Águila con el Cóndor. Me recordó lo importante que es liderar desde la autenticidad, celebrar las diferencias como fortalezas y encontrar lo sagrado en cada momento, en cada relación, en cada paso del camino.

Esta sabiduría no es solo una historia “bonita”; es un ritmo. Nos recuerda que la armonía importa. Durante mucho tiempo, el Águila y el Cóndor estuvieron separados, igual que nosotros como pueblos, como tierras, como valores. Pero también hay esperanza. Hay un momento de renovación, un “tiempo de florecimiento,” donde podemos reconectar, sanar y honrar tanto la sabiduría de nuestros ancestros como la innovación de hoy.

Eso es lo que llevo conmigo cada día, ya sea liderando a mi increíble equipo, viajando o conectando con mi comunidad. Liderar no se trata solo de tener grandes visiones. Se trata de enraizar esas visiones en amor, en equidad, en propósito. Se trata de volar como el Águila, de aterrizar como el Cóndor y de conectar como el Quetzal.

Esta no es solo mi historia; es nuestra historia. Juntos, podemos reescribir lo que significa liderar, cuidar unos de otros y honrar a esta Tierra.

Hagamos de esta la temporada en la que nos reconectamos. Renovamos. Nos levantamos. Más fuertes. Más sabios. Con el corazón bien abierto.

From the cities, the barrios, the farms of the U.S. to the Andes of Chile and the vibrant rhythm of the Dominican Republic, mi vida has been a journey guided by the wisdom of the Eagle, Quetzal, and Condor. These sacred symbols, shared by Indigenous peoples across the Americas, hold a message that feels deeply personal and profoundly universal—a call to rediscover balance, honor connection, and lead with both vision and heart.

I’ve come to see myself as a Condor raised as an Eagle, navigating between these powerful worlds. 

At times chunky.  At times in resistance.  The Eagle gave me sight—an ability to see far and dream big, to push boundaries with strategy and innovation. But the Condor brought me back to the ground, showing me the wisdom of rootedness, the power of community, and the beauty of walking softly on this Earth. And then, I found the Quetzal. The Quetzal taught me to bridge these worlds, to lead with freedom, sacredness, and a deep love for what truly matters.

The Eagle soars high, representing the visionary, the strategist, the builder of tomorrow. It reminds us to embrace boldness and think expansively as we navigate the complexities of leadership.

The Condor flies low, close to the mountains and the Earth, embodying wisdom, humility, and a deep connection to the sacred. It teaches us to lead with compassion, to honor our ancestors, and to create spaces of healing and equity.

And the Quetzal—Hay, mi Quetzal!  This bird doesn’t just live; it sings the song of freedom and bridges the Eagle and Condor. It reminds us to lead with authenticity, to celebrate our differences as strengths, and to find the sacred in every step of this journey.

The wisdom of these three is not just a “cool” story—it’s a rhythm, a call to live and lead in harmony. The Eagle and Condor have been separated, echoing the divisions of our people, our lands, and our values. But the wisdom speaks of a time of renewal, a “springtime of fulfillment,” where unity takes root again, where ancestral teachings guide us forward, and where we create a world that blends wisdom and innovation, compassion and action.

This is where I anchor my work. As I lead, whether with my incredible team, in my travels, or in the communities I serve, I carry this teaching in my heart. I am reminded that leadership is not just about vision; it’s about grounding that vision in love, equity, and purpose. It’s about soaring as Eagles, rooting as Condors, and connecting as Quetzals.

We are all part of this story. Together, we can rewrite what it means to lead, to care for one another, and to honor this Earth. May this be the season where we reconnect, renew, and rise—stronger, wiser, and with hearts wide open.
