Diego Sulaiman, Master Facilitator, is a renowned national Youth Development and Leadership leader and the driving force behind Alas del Tigre. He received his Master Practitioner certification from the Center of System Awareness at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and has over three decades of experience actively engaging partners and stakeholders at the local, state, and national levels.

Much of Diego’s 30+ years of experience includes developing, implementing, and administering large-scale projects to provide transformative developmental programming to at-risk youth in California. He is most known for his instrumental role in launching former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s afterschool program, Arnold’s All-Stars (later After School All-Stars), where over 10,000 at-risk Los Angeles County youth benefited from safe and enriching afterschool programs that propelled their academic, personal, and professional growth.

Since then, Diego has developed and implemented statewide programs designed to deepen leadership capacity, strengthen skill building, and inspire young leaders to reach their full potential. These programs include leading large scale initiatives like the Quality Standards for California’s Expanded Learning Programs, ASAPconnect’s School of Leadership and Facilitation, and Building Our Leaders and Dreamers (BOLD). His dedication to youth development has been recognized through multiple invitations to the White House, where he has collaborated with like-minded leaders in the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) campaign to explore ways of enhancing the lives of young people.

Diego remains resolute in leveraging his expertise, skills, and extensive network to ensure that every young person gains access to high-quality opportunities that foster their full potential. His unwavering dedication continues to make a profound impact on the lives of young individuals across the nation.
